ABOUT JROTC 
BOOSTERS

PURPOSE.

Organization - JROTC Boosters Steinbrenner HS, LLC

 

Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps. (“JROTC”) - The main purpose of JROTC is to instill patriotism, develop leadership potential, promote community service, and develop a higher sense of self confidence, to develop positive life skills and self-discipline for the cadets participating in the George Steinbrenner High School (“GSHS”), JROTC Program.

Purpose:

The corporation is organized and will be operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (83-2582077) to enhance the efforts of the GSHS JROTC program through fundraising efforts to support the students and faculty to maximize their experiences.

GOALS & OBJECTIVE.

​GOAL
 

  1. To determine fundraising efforts to support the events and/or items relative to the needs of maintaining and growing the program

  2. Each year a budget will be created to ascertain what the needs are for the JROTC program in collaboration with the Leaders of the JROTC program at GSHS.
     

    • The school/JROTC budget will provide the baseline of fundraising efforts, to ascertain what needs the JROTC Booster Program can supplement

Booster Long-Term Planning Objectives:
 

  • Obstacle course on GSHS grounds to support the physical growth of the cadets, assist in the preparation for Raider Team events and become a host of the Raider Events.
     

  • Scholarship opportunities for Seniors to support their academic ventures.

SPONSORS.

Booster Sponsored Events:

  • Food/Drinks for Raiders Events throughout the school year

  • Food/Drinks for Drill Team Events throughout the school year

  • Equipment needs not covered under the School/JROTC budget

  • Military Ball – set up and clean up; determine funding based on school provided budget for anything not included (usually a self-sufficient funded event by the school/JROTC)

  • Sponsorship of the Awards Luncheon (March – annually)

  • Raiders/Drill Team specific Awards Recognition (May – annually)

  • Identify Volunteerism opportunities in the community (at least 2 a year Booster initiated events)
